Compass Learning (Odyssey) is a program that creates individual learning paths for students. Learning path folders are created based on each student’s MAP scores in reading and math. A learning path folder includes activities that Odyssey identifies to teach the objectives a student has not mastered based on the results from the MAP test. This is used as a center activity at school and may also be used to practice and reinforce skills at home.
Students will have weekly assignments on Compass Learning in Language Arts. The assignments will be named with dates so students are aware of what they expected assignment is, and the date range in which it should be completed. There will be additional folders that students can work on if they choose, but only the weekly assignment is mandatory. Parents can view progress and achievement by clicking on the student’s backpack icon when they are logged in.
