Dear Parents,
Welcome to my classroom and to a new school year! My name is Lindsay Regnier and this is my 15th year teaching for District 59.
As a teacher, my greatest goal is to help my students grow to love learning. Your children are at an age where they are full of questions and wonder; it is my hope that this year is one of their first stops on their way to becoming life-long learners. My classroom is first and foremost child-centered. My team and I will work with each child to foster their independence and encourage their individual strengths and interests. I work hard to create a classroom atmosphere that is both safe and welcoming for my students. It is my belief that children will thrive in a classroom environment that provides various methods of instruction which address the individual learning styles of each child. Hands-on experiences in math, literacy, science/social studies, and writing will be provided daily. We will be busy, busy, busy, which is exactly how the kids like it!
When I graduated from college, I saw it as an end to my education and the beginning of a career. Reflecting back after my first years teaching, I now realize that just the opposite is true. Learning doesn’t end when you become a teacher; it begins! I look forward to getting to know each of my students and consider it a privilege to be able to watch them learn and grow. Get ready for a wonderful year!
Sincerely,
Lindsay Regnier
